Hi all
Desperate for some help and writing after another night of only 1 hours sleep.
Since birth, my 14 week old has been bloated, had constant gas, long gaps in bowel movement (record 12 days) and is uncomfortable 24/7.
Exclusively breastfed. I cut out common intolerances/allergies (dairy, wheat, soy, eggs, nuts) for 6 weeks and no difference made. No other issues with skin etc. He has been on probiotics for 4 weeks which helped for a week (daily bowel movement) but now back to square one.
Kept getting told he would grow out of it but no real difference. Doctors not being very helpful.
He’s gaining weight and plenty of wet nappies.
Haven’t had more than 2 hours solid sleep in 14 weeks and I am exhausted and in complete despair. Has anyone has any similar experiences? Thank you 🤞🏻

Yes! Though mine ended up being A combo of silent reflux + dairy intolerance (and the reflux medication made the constipation/griping worse). The most helpful thing was taking him to the osteopath - he would do loads of poos and fall blissfully asleep after each session. We’re in London and went to the Osteopathic Centre for Children, which is a charity so you pay as much as you can afford. I would strongly recommend, it completely saved my sanity.

Shallow latch can lead to them taking in lots of air when feeding and cause stomach issues - sounds like it might be a bigger issue than that, but might be worth getting the feeding checked if you haven’t already (I was recommended Koala position - I found it too difficult, though have managed with my second one and it is good for wind).

Sorry - should also say you have my complete sympathy. It WILL get better even if you can’t imagine it at the moment.
