I am petrified that this might be bed bugs but for context I also went to a flower festival - this was saturday and then i woke up sunday morning with these all over my upper arms, front and back of neck and my chest

Can anyone say what they are - they are horribly itchy.

Maybe Oak Mites.

See a professional.

Thankgoodness1 · 10/08/2020 02:54

It looks like heat hives. Google pictures of heat hives.

Blondie1984 · 10/08/2020 03:04

Could be shingles

lydia7986 · 10/08/2020 03:22

You say you went to a flower festival - could you have accidentally brushed against some hogsweed?

Contact with hogsweed (And some other plants) + UV rays from the sun leads to phytophotodermatitis, a horrible rash with painful hives like yours.

*hogweed, not hogsweed

steff13 · 10/08/2020 04:31

Those look more like blisters or hives than bites.

chitofftheshovel · 10/08/2020 06:28

I agree with lydia7986 it looks like phytophotodermititis.

My son had it years ago and got a secondary rash on his chest.

borisjohnsonsstylist · 10/08/2020 06:38

I think you need to speak with a doctor Confused

lovemelongtime · 10/08/2020 09:32

Get yourself to a pharmacist when they open. Definitely not bed bugs but looks like an allergic reaction to a plant.

NotSuchASmugMarriedNow1 · 10/08/2020 12:38

Thanks for all the responses. I went to pharmacist and got tablets and cream but they are not working and if anything the rash seems to be getting worse so I am waiting for a phone consulation with my GP now. Hopefully they will be able to give me an injection, does anyone know what the GP will do - it's sooooo painful :(

Have you definitely had chicken pox? Really looks similar. Could be shingles.

MyNameHasBeenTaken · 10/08/2020 12:56

Take an antihistamine if you can.
Have a cool shower/bath.
Take photo every hour if you think they are getting bigger?
Or draw round the edge with a pen and put the time on.
Wear something clean, light and cotton/linen to cover it

It was Uticaria.

Saw GP on monday who gave me anti-histamines and steroids. On Wednesday it was worse so went back to GP. He gave me a different anti-histomine. On Saturday it was worse again and I had to go to A and E. They kept me in and gave me steroids, anti-histamines and anti-biotics through an IV drip. Went home a few hours after. That was a week ago and it started to get better the next day.

the whole ordeal has been brutal. It's 2 weeks today and the rash is slowly disappearing. It's actually burnt my skin because it's peeling.

Am better now though. thanks for all the responses.
