(Lighthearted)

Just measured myself properly on the boob or bust site as recommended on here.Always wore a 34D as an adult then as boobs grew after ds i went up to a 34E..didnt know that in fact I was a 30G!.. what sorcery is this? Ive just had to buy two pricey af bras as you dont appear to be able to get cheap bras in my new size

Yep they're pricey, but they'll be so much more comfortable and safe in the right size. Squishing your boobs into wired bras that don't fit can cause some quite serious problems I believe - something about lymph nodes in the armpits?

30GG isn't as weird as you think, and becoming more commonly available now that more and more people are measuring themselves properly and not sticking to the ridiculous +4 or +5 inch rule for the back size that was used many years ago. It made sense when bra backs didn't stretch, but not now! And as cup size is directly related to back size, you'll be a bigger cup size than before if you start wearing the correct (smaller) back size.

I'm a 28J and even I can easily find bras that fit. Not always cheaply, though, as you say. Try www.bravissimo.com for a start, and see what's in the sale. Or if you are interested in comfort, www.molke.co.uk is AMAZING. And they offer a truly impressive size range: big backs, small backs, big boobs, small boobs and any combination of those!

I'm a GG and have found some nice good priced bras in Sainsbury's. There's quite a lot on their website.

Thanks for the recommendations!

Asda sometimes have G cup bras at £6, also Debenhams you can often get sizes like that reduced, not as cheap as £6 but they last ages and they're so good, and you're getting a much better bra reduced to an affordable price.

I also did this and had been wearing totally the wrong size. I’m a 36H and I got mine from M&S for about £18 per bra. It’s amazing how much comfier it is wearing the correct size bra!

Also was fascinated (and felt quite stupid) to learn that a 30G and a 40G don’t have the same size boobs and just different chest measurementsBlush

I used to work in a lingerie shop and used to measure and fit bras. I found that women change sizes almost daily at times but it is important to get the right size obviously. Yes it can be pricey but remember to try a few because the same size in 2 different makes are probably different fits.

I've ordered from gossard as i prefer plunge bras.A lot of the shops online seem to only do full cup.
