I didn't know about it but getting fed up of the calls for things to be equal. The public sector pay awards announced recently, sold as a reward for Covid, are the ones agreed earlier this year.
The nurses were awarded theirs a couple of years ago with a 3 year plan.
As always from a teaching perspective, they have announced the pay increase but not increased the school budgets it comes from so is either not likely to happen or will happen but will reduce budgets in schools for other things.
I agree with others at a time when they are a number of redundancies and job insecurity, and they are in the middle of a pay increase cycle it seems to be greedy - most nurses were paid overtime during the crisis something lots of other public sectors didnt get.
