AIBU to let DD (15yrs) use a Lumea / IPL?

DD (15) has started growing dark, coarse hairs on her breasts and nipples. Obviously causes her a lot of embarrassment and upset, especially in this hot weather. I’m not keen for her to shave that area in case of stubble, but googling seems to suggest an IPL might be best...

So - WIBU to purchase a Lumea (or similar) for her, and does anyone have any experience of using one of the chest area they can share?

Thanks!

Great solution. I have one and it’s amazing.

Go for it. However the hairs do need to be cut/shaved before you use the Lumea otherwise they burn.

Brilliant thank you - do you both use the Lumea? Or a different brand / model? Thanks so much for replying

The minimum age (according to the manufacturer) to use the Lumea is 18, so that is something to watch out for. I'm not sure if that is the same with all brands x

I think it's a brilliant solution. I have one but only on the early stages of use. But I can see a reduction in hair growth already.

I have one and recommend it but I would take her to the dr first just to check all is ok with her hormones. Also, I use it for my moustache but it makes my lips sore, she needs to make sure she covers the nipple area and you can’t use the machine on tanned skin.

Brilliant, thank you all. I am going to try and speak to the GP early this week so I’ll mention it to them too and get their input. Thanks all!

You can't use it on nipples but everywhere else should be ok provided she doesn't have dark skin
