Anna - contract?

I suppose I am worried about my ds, who was VERY unsetteled last time this happened (but that was nearly 2 years ago) and I miss my dh who is a very hands on dad and helps me a lot (I have a chronic health condition)

His MD has no children, doesnt want children (which is fine) but makes no distinction between those employees who have dependants and responsibilites and those who dont, which I think is unfair. eg: I have often worked on xmas eve and over the summer months to cover for colleagues with kids, because it didnt really matter to me then as I was young, free and single.

I am desperate for him to find something else, but he has been there since school, did a degree on workplacement etc. He works so hard and is so clever and they are a bunch of wankers

sorry!

Oh, and its my birthday on monday.

My ds has told me he will get me breakfast in bed to cheer me up (he is only just 4, so maybe not!)

becaroo - I think it is right that employers do not distinguish between those employees who have dependants and those who do not.

However, it is not right to expect employees to be at their employers' beck and call if their salary is not commensurate with SAHM/D and/or domestic support. Whether they have dependants or not.
