To be knocking on neighbours' ...

One of my neighbours has been using one of those garden incinerator bin thingies for a while now, and me and the kids can't have the windows open because of the smell, and it's a real heavy smell that gets on your chest.

Anyway, I have just found out which house it is (4 doors down), however, when I knocked here last time, she point blank denied it!

Does anyone know if they are allowed to do this, only I'm sure I read somewhere that the law had changed, meaning it was deemed illegal? It's a Council property, so not their own (if that has any difference?)

I can't bear the smell anymore and it's not fair on my kids, in this hot weather, to have to keep the windows and doors closed SadAngry

Check your local council website. It is considered an offence here if done frequently.
Make a note of how often it is happening. Then call up the local council to complain. Good luck.

There’s a neighbour at the end of my road who does this a lot, the smoke is unbearable. It’s considered an offence to light anything during lockdown in my local area so check your councils rules and report.
