I've been on dates with three different people from OLD.
First one seemed perfectly normal. Really interesting. Went on 3 dates. All lovely. Then suddenly he turned in to an utter weirdo and announced he was actually married. Cue end of that!
Second guy was again, seemingly lovely. Then weirdness began. He was white and I'm mixed race. I wear wigs sometimes because when my hair is unbraided you can see my alopecia which isn't awful, but I'm anxious about it. They're beautiful wigs and I love them. Cue him being incredibly rude out of the blue about black women wearing wigs and appropriating white culture...
Third date, nice guy, but he had clearly used photos from years ago and was much older than he said he was. His profile said he was 31, he's actually 39. He told me on our 3rd date that he was older and his age was a mistake on his OLD. Very clear it wasn't a mistake and he was just using this to date younger women.
Should I give up on OLD? Is the knack to just keep trying? I was excited to start with. Now I'm just disheartened that I seem to attract weirdos!
