To ask for help identifying this tiny man

So the story is, a family member ordered a completely boring order of towels and a bath mat from Wilkos.

This came today, and inside the package (wrapped up separately) was a pair of orthopaedic Sedagyl slippers (the kind an old woman might wear - not sold by Wilkos, that I can see) and THIS tiny man - pic attached.

My husband broke his head off, apparently to check if there were drugs inside, and there were thin wires inside going through the whole clay of the body . It was made of a kind of soft clay that breaks easily, and the paint rubs off easily. He is holding some sort of wine jug. We can’t find anything even close on the Wilkos website.

Any one who can 1. Identify this tiny man and 2. Explain why he was in a Wilkos parcel with a pair of slippers, I’ll be really impressed!

It doesn't look antique to me, just a figurine. Telephone Wilko and see if they have an explanation.

If you end up keeping the lot, sell the slippers on ebay and mend the figure. He can go in the garden or greenhouse, would be quite at home there.

I once found a hideous little figure which had been thrown into my car ( window left slightly open on a hot day) It was a roughly made wooden man, playing a violin. It had a devilish look.

I'm also placemarking, I think this thread has MN Classics all over it...

I want to know more about the tiny man, I think he might be an antique, but then the fluorescent pink doesn't sound like it..

Wilkos package arrives, tiny man inside. First thought process “ clearly it’s drugs in a wilkos package, I best snap it’s head off” 🤣🤣🤣

I think the drugs will be stashed in the slippers myself. The finish doesn't look great and I can see a small brown stain on them (could just be a trick of the camera though). Definitely a pound or two of heroin stashed in the orthopaedic slippers I reckon. That's where the money is.

Maybe Wilko share warehouse space with Amazon or EBay
Some eBay sellers store their goods centrally and get a company to ship it out ...

So the slippers and wee man could be eBay stock ?

It looks antique to me too- and FAR to tiny to have drugs concealed inside.
Worthless now he has been damaged.
What a shame.
Probably an incorrect order.
I have had a parcel from an opium producing area opened up by border force,but it was an antique turned spice container from Rajasthan that could have held a decent amount of drugs... a tiny figurine like that is not the same.
