Why would you describe this as ‘interesting’? What a bizarre choice of words for news which is potentially hugely problematic and distressing for lots of people.

Also - it’s a bullshit daily fail article. Just because some vaccines have specific limitations on their efficacy does not mean the same will necessarily be true of the Covid vaccine which doesn’t actually exist yet. It’s just hysterical speculation designed to throw even more abuse in the direction of overweight people at a time which is already scary for them.

“Interesting” because you’re secretly glad that all the fatties are suddenly going to realise the error of their pie-eating ways and go on a diet, and the U.K. will suddenly be filled with slim, beautiful, healthy people?

Interesting isn’t the word I’d use. Worrying, alarming, are more the sort of word I’d use.

I have seen this reported by other news outlets also. It’s very concerning. There is evidence that obese people respond less successfully to other vaccines that already exist, and doctors think this may be the same for the coronavirus vaccine.

No wonder Boris wants everyone to loose weight, mind you he seems to have put the pounds back on. I think we should all try to eat more healthily in general and exercise every day in some form or another.
