My 7 year old has been burping non stop since 6pm. It’s literally non stop . It started straight after she ate a cheese toastie.
She now can’t sleep as her chest is hurting from it all. Anything I can do? Give her?

Not sure. Gaviscon?

imissthesouth · 05/08/2020 20:50

Is she lactose intolerant? Drink plenty of water and give her an antacid.

ifoundthebread · 05/08/2020 20:53

Do they smell eggy?

GiveMeAllTheGin8 · 05/08/2020 20:53

Actually she drinks lactose free milk as we were concerned about a dairy intolerance a couple of years ago. Could it be something to do with that ?

I'm lactose intolerant and if i accidentally eat/drink something with milk in I get very gassy, if it's something that repeats then I'd look into avoiding dairy

I would contact 111, or local GP.

GammyLeg · 05/08/2020 20:56

If you don’t have gaviscon you could try a teaspoon of baking Soda dissolved in water.

hellywelly3 · 05/08/2020 20:57

111 could be a sign of something more serious

Thanks , she’s actually asleep now . I’ve sat in the room for a few minutes and it seems to have stopped . Il check again in 10 minutes.
