Scotland: Any High School youngsters not going back next week?

AIBU to ask if any Scottish youngsters are not going back next week?

Listening to Neil Ferguson on R4 it does sound like England is preparing for acceleration in tramission once the schools are back. While older teenagers themselves are unlikely to develop complications, there's no evidence that they don't transmit virus to all these households (which will now be linked) at the same rate that adults would.

Yes, I know it's important for kids to get back to their peers and education. But it isnt safe and if I catch it I'm at risk of getting very ill or dying.

If you and your family are healthy and you and and your kids can't wait to go back, that's fantastic. Not everyone is as fortunate as you.

I'm starting to feel very uneasy about it. DS has chronic illness, nothing has actually changed since February - there's no vaccine, no immunity.

I think the return to school is politically motivated, and I understand the need for kids to be in school - but, I don't understand why my son's potential extra risk is being ignored.
