Hi all. TMI warning! Shamelessly posting here for traffic really. I have posted this in women's health too but didn't get many responses.
So, my periods are usually pretty regular and of a normal length and colour ect. However, this month it was three days late which is unusual in and of itself. What is more unusual though is that it's nothing like a normal period.
I had a tiny amount of pinkish blood when I wiped Sunday night, put a pad on expecting my period to start, but when I woke up there was only the tiniest amount of brownish pink discharge, wouldn't even call it bleeding or a period. Didn't get any more bleeding or discharge the rest of that day.
I've since had more brownish pink discharge today, but again only a tiny amount and nothing since. It looks similar to what you get at the very very end of a period.
What is going on? I'm not on any hormonal contraception. I'm in my mid 20s and sexually active, but DH and I use condoms so the chance of pregnancy is slim (although not impossible, I know). I did take a pregnancy test yesterday and it was negative.
Is it worth seeing my GP or just waiting to see what happens? I've never experienced anything like this before.
Thank you
