AIBU about weekday parties during lockdown

Fully prepared to be told I'm being a party pooper & unreasonable; but I'm trying to work.

Full blown garden party happening on my street. Live music, loads of noise and guests. Think the sort of party you would have in a hotel grounds - rammed into a garden, overflowing into the street. Who has this type of party on a weekday afternoon. Fairly quiet small town street, terraced houses.

It's bad enough having to work from home all the time now, but I can't work with this racket. This is the not the first one they have had, Last couple of times they threw a mid week party I had to take enforced holiday due to "unreasonable working environment". I can't hear myself think, let alone work.

So am I being unreasonable to be actually quiet upset that I'm going to have to waste more of my holiday due to my neighbours having yet another bloody mid week party. Surely this is out of order?

And a turn the noise down won't work, you can't have that many people round in such a small space without making one hell of a racket. And it's only just getting started ....🤦‍♀️😭

Would certainly piss me off, as I work nights. Next door are bad enough with their music, I could kill Alexa lol

Ear plugs?

arghgrumpy · 04/08/2020 13:30

I've got my music ear plugs, I'll try those. Hopefully it won't get to the stage of the house shaking like it did last time. Defo got a grump on now.
