I've been trying to help my DBF gain weight as he is looking super skinny and his clothes are hanging off him. He wants to gain weight.

The last 2 weeks he has weighed himself. He is 5ft9. First weighing he was 9st1, a week later 8st13 and then today 8st11(underweight) - despite me trying to make him nutritious meals and snacks inbetween. The problem is when alone (we don't live together) he often forgets to eat, can't be bothered to make food (he's just not that interested in food) or will eat very little - I will ask him what he ate for lunch and it could be a couple of biscuits!

I'm worried for his health if his weight continues to drop. Can anyone with experience give me some ideas of how to support him? What kinds of things would be good for him to eat? Thank you Smile

Try lots of high fat foods - peanut butter, avocado etc. He should probably get a full check with his GP though on his thyroid levels etc.

Those are big drops each week. Is the weight loss new? I would be suggesting he see the Dr, could be something underlying
