Good evening everyone, I know threads like these have been posted many times in the past but I'd really like to hear your ghost stories as mumsnetters seem to have good ones.

I'll start. My grandfather passed away 10 years ago and since I've woken up a couple of times to see him stood in my room watching me. I don't feel scared of uneasy at all, rather protected to be honest.

Also I was jogging once down an old country type lane and saw a woman out of my peripheral vision a bit behind me looking nothing out of the ordinary but for some reason I looked back at where she was and nobody there. There was nowhere she could have gone.

Similar story I have a friend who was walking her dog and she saw someone coming up to them on a short pavement so she made way and quickly glanced down at her dog to look back up and see nobody there.

I have no really spooky experiences myself apart from feeling like I’ve seen something in the corner of my eye at home. And that feeling of being watched. I couldn’t cope with anything bigger and scarier than that Grin It creeps me out enough. As do threads like these but I can’t help but read them!

Oooooh I love a good woo thread despite have nothing to contribute! Although my grandfather grew up in the arse end of rural Ireland in the 30s / 40s and his whole family were very woo. The spirits of the dead were forever popping back up to help out...lots of stories of people guided home safely in the dark by mysterious lights blah blah, which is a bit more interesting than Satnav.
