Do not use Asda's online grocery service

I do not normally leave reviews or complain online however I feel that my experience has been that bad people need to be aware.
I am a single working mum of 2 and placed an order with Asda. My order was to be delivered 27/7/20 between 7-9pm, failed to arrive, contacted Asda and a manager was to give me a call back 10-15mins ...week later still no call. With my order supposedly cancelled 27/7 I was informed that a refund would take 5 working days. I explained this was not acceptableas I have children to feed and the order was £167. However after getting nowhere I had no choice than to wait. Then 4 days later 31/7/20 Asda took £167 payment from my account. Contacted Asda again as this is theft, details of situation taken and told that nothing could be done as payments/refunds department closed and to call back 8am 1/8/20 and ask to be put directly through to the department. Called 1/8/20 at 8am asked to be put through, asked what it was regarding had to explain situation yet again. The lady I spoke to took details assured me it had been passed to management of the department and that I would be refunded within 24hours. This is now the 3/8/20, one week later from original order and still no refund, no call back from management, no delivery. I contacted Asda again today details of situation taken yet again. The lady I spoke to said she had spoken to the manager in refund department and due to high volumes they never got to me. This is unacceptable and obviously shows Asda is not living up to their promises. I have been told again today that a refund will be with me within 24hours and also told they always honour their promise......obviously I have no faith in their promise as they have not upheld any of the promises made. A week later due to Asda failings, taking no responsibility for their actions, I am still having to waste my time and money due to Asda's incompetence trying to get my money returned, which Asda had no right taking in the first place.

Also had issues with Asda delivery last week. It arrived at the end of time slot which is fine BUT the frozen items were defrosting and chilled items inc meat and dairy warm and therefore unusable. Am also awaiting response from customer services, had to email their CEO directly as no one is responding to their usual customer service email. Nightmare as we are in 2 week quarantine so couldn't go out to get alternatives!

Asda are not as good as our usual Tesco. We are the shielding list and are Tesco passholder but whereas Tesco didn’t offer priority slots ASDA offered us a weekly reoccurring slot. We use ASDA now.

I had multiple issues with a George order and they never replied to emails, tweets, etc. They ended up messing up the refund as well. I have just written it off and will probably never use them again.
