So this month I was late for my period but it did eventually arrive, all pregnancy tests being negative. However, its bright red watery blood and clots that I'm passing and have been for 17 days. Since last night I've had lower right aided pain and this morning I have pain in my right shoulder. My partners at work and I'm on my own

Pain in the shoulder can be a sign of an ectopic pregnancy. I would ring 111 and think they will suggest you go in. I was already to tell you not to go (after the ridiculous blood in stool thread earlier) but actually better to be safe than sorry.

sparepantsandtoothbrush · 03/08/2020 08:54

Yes I would. It sounds like it could be an ectopic pregnancy. I hope it's nothing but please go and get checked out

dontdisturbmenow · 03/08/2020 08:55

Call 111, likely to be told to go to the early pregnancy unit to rule out ectopic pregnancy.

CrockyBetter · 03/08/2020 08:55

Can you ring GP? Or ring 111 for advice.

Hellohah · 03/08/2020 08:57

I don't know about A&E but can you call your doctor, the shoulder pain sounds like it's endometriosis to me.

Don't panic (if you are) and I hope you are OK xx

SteelyPanther · 03/08/2020 09:06

Right shoulder tip pain can be appendicitis, so yes you need to see someone today.

brastrapbroken · 03/08/2020 09:08

I would call my GP for this and they would signpost me accordingly. I don't think I would go straight to A&E, surely a referral to an EPU would be more fitting?

FruitLikeAPeach · 03/08/2020 09:08

I would. Shoulder pain like that can be a sign of something serious. Ectopic pregnancy or internal bleeding.

It may be nothing but far better to be safe than sorry.

SteelyPanther · 04/08/2020 20:42

How are you now OP ?

Sexnotgender · 04/08/2020 20:43

I would, doesn’t sound right.

jess3817 · 04/08/2020 20:44

How are you now op?

Anxiousmeg · 04/08/2020 21:20

the pain stopped so didn't end up going still passing clots, phoned 111 tonight and they said its probably just my pill and that I should speak to go about getting it changed

How heavy is the bleeding OP? Are you feeling dizzy? It's good the pain has stopped, but it's probably a good idea to try and get a gp appointment tomorrow in case it is an ectopic pregnancy.

Lilymossflower · 04/08/2020 22:06

Wow I'm surprised 111 said that

You should go to a and e immediately imo

Whatnext2018 · 04/08/2020 22:18

It’s not to panic you but I had an emergency ectopic seven years ago. I had no idea, had some light bleeding I assumed was late period, felt strangely ill for a few days, tightness in chest and shoulders and sleepy, got up one day and passed out, rushed to hospital, had an internal and blood test and they rushed me in for emergency surgery.
Please get it checked out, no harm on checking things out to be sure.

Whatnext2018 · 04/08/2020 22:18

Malbecblooms · 05/08/2020 11:11

Please get checked. I had a missed ectopic as no one paid attention (I knew I was pregnant) but they said it was a miscarriage.

Bleeding and pain should always be checked if you could be pregnant.

Anxiousmeg · 05/08/2020 11:35

shoulder pain wasn't shoulder tip pain and the actual bleeding is more or less the same as normal, I can bleed for up to 21 days with the pill I'm on
