Should I leave my husband?

My husband keeps checking my phone. He checks my bank account. I don’t know what to do. I have changed my password, he hit me on my arm.

Yes
You have misgivings. He hits you. He’s an over bearing bully who checks up on you

FudgeBrownie2019 · 02/08/2020 19:04

Leave. The moment a person hits you, you leave. I know it's not easy, and I know you'll feel like he might change, he might never do it again, you might know how to appease him. None of those things matter; things like this will only ever escalate.

Are you able to call the police, or Womens Aid? Do you have somewhere safe to go while he's out of the house?

Shoxfordian · 02/08/2020 19:05

He sounds abusive
Can you contact women's aid?

Twigletfairy · 02/08/2020 19:06

Yes, you should leave. It is possible it will escalate. Even if it doesn't escalate, his behaviour is unacceptable

DrManhattan · 02/08/2020 19:06

Leave. Don't give him the chance to minimise this.

JessCat75 · 02/08/2020 19:13

Yes, absolutely, this is not a normal relationship, you deserve to be treated with love and respect.

Cryalot2 · 02/08/2020 19:32

Flowers yes op you must leave. It will not be easy. He has no right to check either your bank account or phone. Nor should he have hit you . Ring woman's aid otherwise known as refuge 08082000247.this will not show on your phone.
I wish you well. Remember regardless what he says, you did not make him do it or is any of it your fault. He has no right to know anything of your personal information.
Stay strong and take care.
Wishing you all the best
