Hi everyone.

My DD is 2 yrs 7 months. Since about 6-8 weeks ago I have spotted what seems to me like a spot of blood in her wee every few weeks. I've seen something similar before 6-8 weeks ago as well but it looked quite dark then, more like a tiny spec of weetabix - sorry tmi) so I thought it maybe some poo that must have got into her wee. Now it seems to be a very tiny red spot and seems to me like it's usually surrounded by something like the tiniest bit of discharge but I am not sure if it is disharge. She wees in the potty but still poo's in her nappy in case this is relevent. I spoke to gp about 2-3 weeks ago re.this and they sent for a urine test. I found out last week that the results have come back and they have closed the case as nfa as results were clear. Yesterday I saw what seemed to be another spot of blood in her wee and there seemed to be something like a bit of discharge surrounding it again. It's always been the tiniest spot. I clean her poo with cotton pads and wipe after she wees with toilet tissue if this is relevent. I am very worried about this now. Any advice/experience will be most appreciated. Thanks

Get a doctors appointment, worst case it's nothing, but sounds like she might have a water infection which antibiotics would sort in no time and stop any discomfort she may have.

Sorry I meant best case it's nothing 🤦‍♀️

@Angeldust747 Thanks for replying. My GP doesn't give appointments like they used to and they first screen with a telephone consultation. I will speak to gp again and see what they say. If it is a water infection would it show in the urine sample? The GP closed the case as urine sample came back clear of whatever they sent it to test for.

I wonder if it would help to take a photo of it too as this picture can be shared with the GP next time.

@howdidigettobe50something thanks for replying. Yes I will try and take a photo too, that's a good idea. My phone is not great and doesn't really take very clear pictures but I will try.
