Sorry if this seems like an interesting first post Smile But I am a regular mumsnetter. I didn't want to name change again.

I got an app for a vpn on my phone, which apparently changes my location so i can watch tv shows in other regions on Netflix. It worked perfectly fine for a few weeks but now Netflix suddenly recognizes i'm using a vpn.
I don't want to buy one Sad I just want to watch a programme ffs.

Does anybody else have this issue? Help would be appreciated Smile

Using a VPN is against the Netflix ToC. It's always a game of cat and mouse between the companies as the VPN providers spin up new servers with a different IP address then Netflix realising and blocking them.

It was working before but then it stopped. I messaged the people who made the vpn app but they haven't updated it Sad

Just google X (tv show) watch free online and find a dodgy stream if you’re desperate !

I think i'd rather not give myself a virus Grin

Netflix are pretty good at finding and stopping them, so expect this to happen regularly if you’re going to break their T&Cs. There are licensing reasons why certain programmes and films are not available in all countries.
