neighbours having a party which is now winding down, fair enough. the music was loud enough to be heard 5 or 6 houses away. but why do some partygoers have to stand out in the street shrieking and laughing at nothing in particular, a couple of women from the party are walking up and down the road yelling into their phones, one is crying for some unknown reason. another group are bitching about another goer saying she looked 'a right slag tonight' - charming. and all on the warmest night of the year, had to shut windows hours ago and it's been baking. am sitting in kitchen with quarter light window open as i can't sleep
at least they will head off soon but i feel sorry for people trying to sleep .through this shite.
nothing wrong with parties but...

Selfish wankers. That is all.

BlessYourCottonSocks · 01/08/2020 00:37

OP if you're in a development starting with N then we have the same neighbours. Or if you've also had hours of bad drunken singing.

romeolovedjulliet · 01/08/2020 00:59

sorry max not my area, but i do feel for you and so many others in this situation. don'tmind so much when it's not hot, they don't have parties that often tbh, but the last 3 hours were horrendous.

Plan on early, loud cleaning in the morning with radio blasting punk rock or classical music

romeolovedjulliet · 01/08/2020 01:37

ween i'm a heavy metal fan, so that could be the way to go Smile

Simple answer
They're annoying inconsiderate pricks

Hyperfish101 · 01/08/2020 04:07

Pretty sure they are breaking the Covid rules. Ring the police and get them to break it up. Idiots.

outnumberedwoman · 01/08/2020 04:10

OP you have my sympathies. In the last few weeks our neightbours have had 4 parties that go on until about 5 or 6 am. The music is one thing but they have disco lights and everything. The police drove past one of the parties and just drove on. So no help! When i win the lottery i am buying a big old house in the middle of nowhere!

Weenurse · 01/08/2020 05:17

@outnumberedwoman my favourite lotto number is 13,try using that next time you put your numbers on.😄
What is your go to number?
Maybe we can share our favourite numbers and all win lotto and @romeolovedjulliet can buy a house elsewhere

I feel for your op. My neighboirs all through lock down have been having parts and getting drunk and being really loud. They had karaoke last weekend and were singing till 3 am.

alphasox · 01/08/2020 06:29

You have my sympathies, we had a similar problem her last weekend (when it wasn’t 33 degrees!) hope you got some sleep x

1forAll74 · 01/08/2020 06:43

It is just what some people do, as kind of go a bit loopy, loud, carefree, and the rest, on hot nights, maybe fuled by some booze, and who knows what., all added to the holiday season, and the covid confusion, Kind of live for tonight, and don't worry about tomorrow..

I sometime wish it was lively where I live, It is so quiet, all my neighbours seem to go to bed at about 10 pm. Its is deathly quiet. like a church yard..

Meangallery · 01/08/2020 06:57

My neighbours had a bit of a party - they don’t do it that often - not bothered.
