To just want some nice PJ's?

QuestionableMouse · 31/07/2020 15:44

Am I expecting too much?!

All I want is cotton, not cuffed at the ankle, and in my size. (26 ish)

Most of the one I've seen are polyester mix, cuffed or fleece!

If you're a fellow fatty, where do you find these kind of PJ's? 🙄😂😂😂

Oh I know, I have the same problem.

I got a lovely pair at simply be recently, but my go to shop is M&S. Think they maybe only go up to 24 though.

I will be following with interest.

snappycamper · 31/07/2020 15:52

Got a lovely cotton pair from Asda a couple of years ago too

magicstar1 · 31/07/2020 15:53

Yours clothing.

I will warn you that they are quite thin...and they never have pockets.

Fatty is apparently non-PC on Mumsnet in AIBU

Onthedancefloor · 31/07/2020 16:09

I've got some coming from Debenhams later, think I had to give up on getting a matching pair though! I like loose cotton pjs, without cuffs, or large plasticky pictures on the chest (feel cold), preferably without drawstrings (feel bulky / itchy on the waist), not too long (have short legs and don't want to trip up). But they are not allowed any more, so glad to see I'm not alone in this problem.

I've been wearing old ones that are falling apart. Hope we find some more inspiration on this thread.

SnackBitch2020 · 31/07/2020 16:14

I find M&S cotton pyjamas shrink in the wash!

Thelnebriati · 31/07/2020 16:20

This is why I wear mens PJ's. And they have pockets.

QuestionableMouse · 31/07/2020 16:29

I've got a set of those yours ones but the elastic is annoying - they ride up in a way nothing else I wear does and it's not nice.

I got my current ones from Bon Prix but I caught them the other day and I've put a hole in them.

Next ones can be pretty nice.

QuestionableMouse · 31/07/2020 16:46

Next seem to stop at 22 which isn't quite big enough. I'm more of a 24 but like a bit of room! 🙄😂

I buy my pj's from Fashion World. They have a good range of different styles too. I have bought a load from their Pretty Secrets range & they are only £10 pair. They have more expensive ones too. You could also try JD Williams, Marisota & Simply Be. Good luck.

myBumJuiceSmellsLikeRoses · 31/07/2020 17:20

I used to get mine at Sainsburys. They go up to a 24.

Pretty secrets seem to be polyester blends which I'm trying to to avoid.

lands end?

EL8888 · 31/07/2020 17:28

You are being totally reasonable. I thought it was just me who doesn’t want cuffed ones Confused

Next usually do pretty nice PJs and you can get an XXL on the website which I think is a 24/26. But at the moment, I have noticed there's not much in the way of night wear on their website. Same with Tu at Sainsburys where I often get PJs. Shopping is weird at the moment, I think they are still pushing summer stock when they'd usually have autumnal stuff coming through.

CaptainCallisto · 31/07/2020 19:09

Honestly, at 6'1" and a size 20, I gave up and made my own. I hadn't sewed anything in about 15 years, but I managed to knock out three pairs of nice cotton PJ's (two long, one shorts) without too much trouble!

My mum had a lovely pair last year from Edinburgh Woollen Mill. She's a 22 on the bottom and 24 on the top.

Cookies2523 · 31/07/2020 20:09

Aww I'm sorry I read your report wrong. Hope you have some success in finding the right ones - it's so frustrating when you know exactly what you are looking for but can't find it!

ChickenNugget86 · 01/08/2020 22:44

Evans have some good lounge wear and pj's. Im size 20 but like 22/24 as I like it to fit baggy

ladylunchalot · 01/08/2020 22:58

I feel your pain op, v hard to find nice pj's in a plus size. I got a nice pair from Shein, although the bottoms are cuffed. Comfiest pj's I've had in a long time.
There are some here that might be useful??

Bonsoir is amazing, a bit outing to say this. But can't be assed to name change. Their men's range is lovely expensive but very roomy and washes very well 😏

BereftOfInk · 02/08/2020 14:03

I just bought some cheapy supermarket ones and....they have.....pockets! I've never been so happy Grin

Southwest12 · 02/08/2020 14:09

Primark do great PJ's, the basic cotton range is about £6. They do some in a 2xl which is up to a 24. I find they are large though.
