To think this is going to be postponed?

I'm in Greater Manchester. Yesterday, the Occupational Therapist phoned to arrange a home assessment for me. It is supposed to be next week.
Given the news this evening, WIBU to assume that this assessment will now be postponed?
Given the way things are going, I have a feeling that, by the time one actually gets sorted, I will have sold the unsuitable house I'm currently in and moved to a more suitable one!

What news?

Jasmin82 · 30/07/2020 22:30

@GoshHashana Greater Manchester is under new restrictions. No mixing of different households indoors.

I'm assuming health care is exempt?

Jasmin82 · 30/07/2020 22:47

@BitOfFun No idea. There's no real clarity been provided beyond "no mixing of different households in an indoor area." As I'm not yet getting any care at home (what the assessment is for), any healthcare exemption possibly won't apply.

It seems there may be some hope. The government have announced that there will be "exemptions". However, there is no further detail or even an indication of when the exemptions and what they are will be announced. I'm starting to think I'm not meant to get an assessment while I'm in this house.

Text sent from my GP practice (in Greater Manchester) today: "Stay 2m apart and remember that indoor gatherings are for 2 household only."
Methinks they set that up before the health secretary made his announcement last night.
Still nothing on the exemptions, so still none the wiser as to where I stand with this home assessment.
