Oven has a small hole in the bottom of it however, still works. Should I keep it or throw it? Am I going to be subject to gas leaks etc if I keep using it

Isn't it a fire hazard as all the heat should be contained within the oven.

What's on the other side of the hole anything flammable?

Isn't it a fire hazard as all the heat should be contained within the oven.

What's on the other side of the hole anything flammable?

Like the floor, surrounding cabinetry, the wall behind it?

Just think - if some oil spilled from a pan and then caught alight, where would the then burning oil go once it left the oven? Or what could be drying out then getting hot, then smouldering, then burning?

(In other words, I'd be looking at replacing it sharpish)

What would you say if someone wrote... My boiler has a hole in it should I keep it... Jeez

No way. For one, you'll not get the right temp if it has a hole. Then there's the fire risk.

You need a new cooker.

I am at a loss of how an oven can develop a hole but would get rid, particularly as it is gas ans potential grease leak etc.

It’s like a finger hole as if someone’s poked their finger through and it’s gone in.
