im referring to recent news regarding lack of NHS protection during potential tase deals with US.

AIBU to think this is the end of our socialised care system?

I’m very worried about this - it feels like we are sleepwalking into it. Can you imagine what it would have been like in the last four months if you had had to worry about huge hospital bills on top of worrying about getting the virus?

The majority of people who go bankrupt in the USA are in that situation not because they didn’t have medical insurance but because their insurance didn’t pay for all their treatment and left them with huge bills.

It terrifies me. The NHS is a lumbering beast but it is a massive asset without which life would be very different, and not something we can afford to lose.
