Fanthorpe thank you for your apology (no need though) & your good wishes. I have to realise that everyone has their own opinions and/or experiences. I'm doing ok - thank you.

Impressive OP!
And I thought I had a great appetite. Unless you make a habit of it (it does have an extremely high sugar level) it can be managed / dieted in the next week ☺️

Crackerofdoom · 30/07/2020 19:17

I ate half a pineapple a few weeks and my tongue felt numb for hours afterwards. Confused

fishonabicycle · 30/07/2020 20:01

We had the same on a beach in Goa - would split a pineapple between two most days. No I'll effects.

Eeeeeeeok · 30/07/2020 20:24

Who the fuck is getting full from pineapple?!

ChristmasFluff · 30/07/2020 21:33

I wish you luck as I can barely manage two chunks of pineapple from a tin, and I have to squeeze out all the juice to do that, otherwise it would eat my insides away and I'd collapse on the floor, nothing but and empty bag of (obese) skin

I'd then take a little lie down to sleep off the carb coma, before getting on a sugar-high and running 26 miles to make up for such blatant excess and gorging, Of course, this would involve 'doing a Paula' due to the effects of this perilous pineapple on the digestive system.

I thought competitive under-eating threads were good, but this thread has taken it up a notch, and I look forward to many more MN threads slagging off fruit, or indeed any other innocent foodstuffs.

Frenchic · 30/07/2020 21:36

I did this once (pregnancy).
Let’s just say that both ends were in rags for a few days. My mouth came out in ulcers and I’m not even going there about my arse.

@ChristmasFluff I started reading your post and thought you were being serious! Grin
This competitive under eating thread is quite something!

pigsDOfly · 31/07/2020 12:20

ChristmasFluff You're right, there's a weird attitude towards fruit on MN by some posters, many of whom seem to equate giving your child an orange with force feeding them half a dozen packets of harribo mix.

Although, I do think eating an entire pineapple in one sitting is a little odd, unless it's one of the very small ones.
