Feeling a bit threatened at work as there's a super duper new industry funded service being set up replicating my job, which involves helping vulnerable people in their own homes. this new service is phone based (1 call only). I've had to "fight" this on my own as our management structure is crazy. anyway I've just been told by my colleague/boss (as I said, weird structure) that I was out of line on a Teams call last week with a few local authorities and roles, she wasn't there, but it's been reported back that I said that her local authority I work with was "stonewalling" my request to be allowed back in to peoples' homes in PPE, while another one was being more flexible. I am so hurt as it's not a word I use and the lady who said it I chatted to for ages afterwards about her son's foreign travels and how worried she is, thanked her for her support and wished her a great weekend. my colleague/boss just dropped in at the end that "provided you're sticking to professional guidelines you're fine" , when all I did was tell the truth. sorry I am massively reacting, AIBU?

I've no idea if you're overreacting because I don't understand your question. Why are you hurt at the suggestion you used the word stonewalling? It's not an offensive term. if your colleague/boss said that you're fine, why are you worried?
