To wonder why more wedding venues haven't gone into administration

With most wedding venues not being able to host weddings since early March, how are most still in business with plans to operate as soon as they can?

Is it likely more will get into financial difficulty in the next couple of months?

I suspect many have offered people the chance to choose another, later date and roll bookings forward, so haven’t had to find chunks of cash for refunds. That, coupled with the government furlough scheme for staff, is likely to have kept many just about surviving up till now. Who knows what will happen going forward? If weddings have to stay small and socially distanced they’re probably going to find things tough.

A lot will be family owned businesses where families protect the business by pumping money in and not having any personal spending during the pandemic.

Too soon to tell really.

I suspect prices will go up as owners try to recoup lost revenue, plus supply/demand with all the delayed weddings plus the normal run, and any that do go out of business reducing supply.
