To think Pierce Brosnan is the epitome of perfection

Really, is there anything this man can't do or say right? Just watched some 007 films again during lockdown and I can't get past his perfection in every sense of the word. He's incredibly talented, aged like a fine wine (even though he was dreamy since forever), seems like a very proper and well-mannered gentleman and Irish!

That's it. Please tell me I'm not the only one 😂

Nope sorry, no man is perfect.
Benedict cumberbatch maybe, but for one part he has very short hair and a thin moustache - wasn't his best look!

GrumpyHoonMain · 26/07/2020 05:58

I take Pearce Brosnan and Raise you Idris Elba

chaoticisatroll55 · 26/07/2020 06:00

...apart from his singing of course! Oh and he's completely wooden as an actor.

Redraptor · 26/07/2020 06:13

Hes gorgeous. I watched his bonds over lockdown to. Hes still so handsome now and he seems (from pics and articles) to adore his wife. He seems like one of the good ones

Ritascornershop · 26/07/2020 06:20

True enough he can’t sing, but his acting is fine. Benedict Cumberbatch has a nice voice, but he’s a funny looking fella, I don’t get the fandom there. Both seem like decent humans, but so hard to say with the famous.

MsTSwift · 26/07/2020 06:23

I overheard strangers on a train saying how much dh looked like BC which was funny.

The man has to be decent in his personal life which PB appears to be but Idris Elba isn’t.

HavelockVetinari · 26/07/2020 06:27

YANBU!

Ohhh yes
pigcon1 · 26/07/2020 06:33

You are not. Although I am also a fan of Idris and Benedict.

I have a PB story (from 15 years ago) in Ireland. Holiday setting, rural and horsey. Small boy sees PB and says “it’s you I can’t believe it’s you” delighted to see a hero. And PB completely flipped to to make the child the focus and said “and it’s you, I can’t believe how lucky I am to meet you!”

Both my mother and I were stunned and delighted.

Manolin · 26/07/2020 06:34

I have long felt that Tom Cruise secretly models himself on Pierce Brosnan.

motherrunner · 26/07/2020 06:42

@pigcon1 I love that!

bookgirl1982 · 26/07/2020 06:43

Love him in the Thomas crown affair.

blurghye · 26/07/2020 06:45

He's a handsome man & will probably look handsome for ever.

Benedict, never seen it personally.

KeirStarmerDonkeyFarmer · 26/07/2020 06:50

He’ll always be Remington Steele to me

To think Pierce Brosnan is the epitome of perfection
ambereeree · 26/07/2020 06:57

@pigcon1 your story has made me love him even more.

ShopoholicIn · 26/07/2020 07:06

Yes totally agree to you OP. I didn't watch james bond movies for 3 years as I just couldn't see anyone else as the new James Bond.
Epitome of perfection truly.. be it Remington steele pr even better as 007

AltCarbon · 26/07/2020 07:08

Thomas Crown Affair is one of my all time favourites and I have always adored Pierce.

I decorated my English book with him in the late 90s (when covering your book was a weirdly a thing to be set as homework) and remember cutting all the pictures out of magazines.

He’s had some tragedies in his life but he does seem to be one of the good ones.

CallarMorvern · 26/07/2020 07:14

I was such a Remington Steele and PB fan. Someone who knew him told me how well he cared for his first wife when she was ill and dying, such an awful tragedy that his stepdaughter also died of the same dreadful disease (ovarian cancer). He seems to adore his second wife too.
Seems genuinely nice, though admittedly can't sing for toffee and I hate to say it, but I prefer Daniel Craig as Bond.

Pancakeorcrepe · 26/07/2020 07:22

I have always absolutely adored PB! He is just totally dreamy, a proper gentleman

teepeeta · 26/07/2020 07:22

I did forget that bit about his signing (the good outweighs the bad). I even took the time to see an interview of him back in the 80s just to get a sense of what his personality is like. I couldn't help but think some people really do win the genetic lottery. It must be a whole different world when you look like that.

Very sad about the personal losses he's had. I really do feel for him as I agree he seems like one of the good ones and I guess even if he weren't that's still something terrible to go through.

Darcydashwood · 26/07/2020 07:34

He is on my list (alongside Tom Hanks and Keanu Reeves) of famous blokes who seem like genuinely decent humans!

Pepperwand · 26/07/2020 08:24

I have been lucky enough to meet him and he was incredibly polite in person, he seemed like a genuinely good guy.

I agree about Keanu Reeves, he's done some wonderful things and has had some personal tragedy too.

HM1984 · 26/07/2020 08:50

@pigcon1 how lovely! I read a few articles about him over lockdown and thought he seemed like a decent man, his wife isn't the typical size 0 model and he absolutely adores her -a nice change from the celeb world and their obsession with being stick thin. And its actually quite normal so very refreshing from that point too!

Dwayne Johnson is my idea of perfection but I have to say PB is a very beautiful man too and has aged extremely well!

GuyFawkesDay · 26/07/2020 08:53

Colin Firth is every bit as gentlemanly and lovely as you'd expect too.

A properly lovely man.

Reacher1 · 26/07/2020 21:39

Still the handsomest man I've ever seen (baring Albert Finney starring in Tom Jones).
