Itv3 is your friend here

Springawake · 25/07/2020 22:37

Oh I used to love heartbeat and where the heart is

Scuzzymummy · 25/07/2020 23:18

Oh god how I cried when the doctor died. I still remember now

Ishihtzuknot · 25/07/2020 23:23

Oh I loved this, curled up in a blanket with a nice cup of hot chocolate as a kid. Darling buds of may was my favourite as our family friends lived near the filming location so I was fascinated seeing it on tv.
Programmes were so much better before this fake reality tv rubbish we get now.

MadCatLadee · 25/07/2020 23:27

It was Poirot for me.

Thisismytimetoshine · 25/07/2020 23:28

It's still on, isn't it? In one of the catchup channels.

SamBeckettsLastLeap · 25/07/2020 23:30

They are filming a new darling buds..... if I was Queen I'd declare this was treason

Ishihtzuknot · 25/07/2020 23:35

It won’t be the same without the original actors Sad I love Bradley Walsh but he just won’t cut it for me sorry

Ritascornershop · 25/07/2020 23:35

I loved Heartbeat, PC Rowan’s cottage. spoiler ahead for anyone who hasn’t watched the whole thing . The clothes, the scenery. I was really sad when Phil died.

It’s a gorgeous part of the country and between the fashion and the cats and the gentle predictability ... I loved that show!

Poppet1974 · 25/07/2020 23:35

When it was actually on I hated it and it’s theme tune as I associated it with a Sunday night and having to get up for school or go to work the next day. But I totally get what you mean OP and I actually like stumbling across it on ITV3 (although I’ve never watched a whole episode)!

ihavelostit · 25/07/2020 23:37

I used to love heartbeat as a little girl but it was always bittersweet when it came on as it always marked that back to school was looming and always got that horrible Sunday night feeling.

roxfox · 26/07/2020 07:22

London's burning afterwards.

Catspaw123 · 26/07/2020 07:23

I used to love Sunday night tv. Heartbeat and then London's Burning

EatsShootsAndRuns · 26/07/2020 07:25

We went to Goathland last year and saw the location, was lovely. DD and her bf were less than impressed.

ClaraLane · 26/07/2020 07:27

I loved Heartbeat and The Royal. Used to be on forums for them back in the day and when I got my GCSE grades my parents took me to Goathland and Scarborough to see all the filming locations. I miss the cosiness of watching it on a Sunday night - no swearing/drugs/shagging, good music and nice storylines.

Feelingconfused2020 · 26/07/2020 07:31

Sunday night feeling. School in the morning. No thanks.

TheLovleyChebbyMcGee · 26/07/2020 07:32

Heartb3at was all fun until the foot and mouth episode, all those poor cows!

user1497207191 · 26/07/2020 07:32

I must be a bit older - it was always All Creatures Great And Small for me. Not long ago, I bought the box set and binge watched them all. Still brilliant decades later.

But yes, also remember Heartbeat, the earlier series were great (Nick, Blaketon as Sgt, Greengrass), but it went off a bit - they probably should have quit whilst they were ahead.

Catspaw123 · 26/07/2020 07:32

Oh yes I liked the Royal too.But Heartbeat was my favourite although more the early episodes. They were the best.

MissBaskinIfYoureNasty · 26/07/2020 07:54

Loathed it but only because it meant school the next day.
