Mask + glasses + BTE hearing aid

CoRhona · 25/07/2020 21:21

Anyone have any suggestions as to how I can fit all three behind the ear?

Putting the mask on knocks the hearing aid or the glasses and IAdefNBU to not want to lose any of them Confused

TIA

You can get tie on masks, so instead of having something behind each ear, you just tie them around your head. As for glasses, I make sure the mask is on and the metal, nose part is secured down, then put the glasses on top. It doesn't stop all fogging, but certainly reduces it.

Sorry, re-read your post. You can also get elastic straps for glasses if needed.

One of those hairband thingies nurses are using to keep the elastic above their ears so it doesn’t rub their skin and make it sore.

I don’t know the technical name.

I use a paperclip to hold both ends of the mask behind my head so it doesn't go round my ears.

I put the hearing aids on first, then the mask loops. I add my glasses just above my ears. When removing the mask I try to go slowly but it's the hardest part for me - I usually end up tangled in the hearing aids.

You need an ear saver, you can buy plastic ones or crochet them yourself. Free patterns online. I feel your pain, I have the same problem.

www.gif-vif.com/gifs/Lifehack-128/?fbrefresh=23 I saw this on Facebook looks a good way to help.

I love this IrishCream. I only have one ear and it's been a bloody nightmare so far!

Hair clip or paperclip on the mask loops?

Replacing the pipes on yours aids so they sit a bit higher temporarily?

Masks with ties or elastic that goes over the top of the head?

Bandana or scarf instead of mask?

Thank you for all your suggestions, I am extremely uncreative so crocheting or making my own is not going to happen!

I've bought this - hopefully it will solve it.

I have the same combo - I use a crocheted mask extender - you put the loops of the mask over the buttons on it rather than around your ears leaving space for the hearing-aids/glasses.

Sometimes needs a bit of adjusting to avoid the hearing-aid whistling but it does work.

The issue for me wasn't noise related, it was the aid coming loose around the ear putting on and taking off the mask as I was walking into the shop had forgotten the mask and had to go back to the car Blush. My glasses are generally on my head and only need them for distance but there are still too many things around my ear now!!
