What do we do if we apply for a school here by January and then move before September next year!? If someone could help me out with this that would be great...

Was supposed to be moving but with covid it fell through so having to look again! Just so confused about the whole school situation as she is my first DC!!

If you move by Jan... Easy.
If you are halfway through buying... Apply for schools where you are moving too, but the LEAs sometimes have a second deadline for people moving into the area (late Feb/early March I think) so you can update the address after you move...
Otherwise its late application, and take your chances really. But the sooner you have an address, the bigger the chance of the school you want if you meet admission criteria.

@Aroundtheworldin80moves ah Ok, so it would be put in as a late application ? I can live with that! The school we want usually has a few places left anyway as its a small area with 5 primary schools!!

New councils look more favourably on your 'late' application if you actually made an application in time in your current council. This is what happened to us and we are having to apply for schools now for September because our move way delayed because of covid!
