Am I being unreasonable? My son had his driving test booked during lockdown so its now been cancelled. The booking was originally via my old company email address which is now obsolete. I emailed DVSA quoting two references for security reasons which of course is understandable.
Two emails later there is still no response. I called them numerous times and the 0300 number either cuts you off when you choose Option 2 or if you do happen to get through it says the wait time if over an hour and to email!
I then called again this afternoon at 1630 and a message is playing saying they are closed but that they are open until 1800. I played it a few times to ensure that I heard correctly!
Is this government at its very worst? I know from a previous role as a supplier to government that they are not efficient in these sorts of scenarios and that the workers will be based at home due to the pandemic.
My AIBU is - are these workers having a good old skive? Surely they wont be furloughed as government employees?
I have now put in a formal complaint to the next layer but would it surprise me if a email came through stating that the test was the day before yesterday!!
