Just moved - they're unpacking now. They've done a fantastic job. Is it normal to tip them when they're done?!

Yes it’s hard manual work and they are on low wages. I think we tipped £20 each when we last moved and they were extremely grateful- told us they were on min wage

Yes, it's standard. We paid £20 each too.

WhereamI88 · 24/07/2020 13:54

yes

edwinbear · 24/07/2020 13:55

Yes, absolutely, from memory also about £20 each. Our removal men worked so incredibly hard and made the day so much easier, I was really, genuinely grateful for their hard work....and that they didn't break so much as a single glass!

Yes! All the ones we've had have worked so incredibly hard. There are some fantastic removal men out there.

We did when we last moved - they did an amazing job and were quicker than expected. We also bought quite a few cold drinks for them as it was a very hot day.

CarrieMoonbeams · 24/07/2020 13:56

Yup, £20 each here too.

RainbowHash · 24/07/2020 13:58

Gotcha! Thanks all!

Hopefully you gave them copious amounts of tea & biscuits and let them use your loo. That is really appreciated.

Meant to say... "happy new house" OP!

Hope you're having a takeaway and a glass of wine tonight WineFlowers

I did last time I moved. They were excellent.
