To offer the electrician tea or not?

He's going to be here a few hours to do the work. Should I offer him tea? He's wearing a mask, so am I. What would you do?

If you ask he doesn’t have to accept. I would have thought the heat from the tea would kill any virus on the cup as it can’t live over about 50 degrees?

Yes, offer him tea. It's up to him to accept or refuse. If he's any sense he should refuse, but his risk to take I think!

@Dellow The bit of the cup he's drinking from isn't going to get to 50 deg, nor is the handle he'll be touching after the OP.

I would politely decline, but I'm not a tradesperson in & out of other people's houses all day long! Still nice to offer I think.

Restaurants and pubs are open. The staff manage to wash the cups and their hands so why couldn't you?

Couldn't offer him tea he cut the power off just offered him a bottle of water! Just left now though
