Help with pregnancy back pain

Posting here for traffic as I'm in agony.

Third trimester and through lack of rest/ dealing with a toddler, I've managed to really screw up my back. Pulled it so badly.

It definitely feels muscular - I can feel "twangs" when i turn the wrong way at as well as the general constant pain/weakness/compression - so I'm not too anxious about it being anything serious to do with the baby. But oh my god - walking, standing, sitting - everything hurts so so bad!

I've managed to get a couple of hours sleep on my left side but it's not easing. I'm on paracetamol every four hours but it's not touching it obviously...

Any advice to help ease it? Anything I can take?

I've got a car journey to family tomorrow I can't get out of! I've never known pain like this (outside labour).

I think you might have to tell your family you’re not well enough for the journey and ring the gp to see what they can give you in the way of pain relief?

Heat and/or cold for now, ibuprofen and see what the gp says you can take?

I need to take the journey as then I have will have three days of help looking after the toddler so I don't have to lift her or anything. Luckily I'm not the driver - but fuck me it's going to hurt.
I managed to get some sleep which is good, but it's no better at all this morning. I guess I'll ring my midwife and the GP.

Heat patches and paracetamol till you see a doctor who will be able to advise further.

There is some information on here about stretching to relieve back pain if you are able to do so

See a chiropractor.
