Hello guys,
I have posted here not long ago about being forced to have an abortion by my partner. I took the first pill yesterday after over 2 weeks of serious thought, not only could I not fight for this baby any longer, but I also somehow felt this was not the right moment to have another child, for many, many reasons. My body also wouldn’t let me get too attached for some weird reason, it was completely different to my first pregnancy.

So, BPAS sent me the pack 2 weeks ago, I took the first pill yesterday and had no side effects whatsover. Today after my partner took my DD out for the day I took the first dose of Misoprostol vaginally at 2:30pm. Around 3:30pm I started cramping and by around 4:30pm the pain was unreal, honestly I read a lot of your stories and never thought it would be this bad, nearly as bad enough as labour pain. I decided to take 2 codeine tablets provided by them, within 15min I felt this pop inside of me and the pain is now minimal. My question is, I’ve had minimal bleeding, sat on the toilet and only a little bit of blood came out. Currently laying in bed wondering if there is something wrong, should I sit on the toilet to speed this up? I have got the shakes real bad and feel absolutely awful... really hope the worst passes by the time my daughter gets home because I don’t know how I will cope.
Thank u for any advice, and sorry for the long post

No advice but so sorry OP Flowers Particularly that you were forced by your partner!

I'm so sorry your going through this. I have no advice. I have only been through a surgical abortion. My sister has had the medicated termination. As far as I can remember she bled loads and was in a lot pain.
Have you tried calling bpas for some advice?

Once you are through this, I think you need to evaluate your relationship as its not very good when your partner had forced you to have this

I had one about eight years ago so memory isn't the best but I do remember the pain - I was in agony. It only lasted around half a day. I don't remember how much blood there was but I don't thin k it was a lot.

I'm so sorry you've been forced into this OP, please look after yourself Flowers

I had the pop with misoprostol, it was the same pop feeling as waters breaking, and then everything passed within around an hour or so of that.

If you're in pain or it appears to have stopped then I'd give BPAS or 111 a call for medical advice.

Who would vote Yabu on a thread like this? The op is having a bloody rough time and going through something traumatic. Shame on you. I’m sorry your going through this

Hi - I had to take Misoprostol following a miscarriage; but I would think it would work the same for an abortion or a miscarriage?

Mine was very painful with lots of bleeding and clots but it was actually unsuccessful and I needed surgery. Definitely definitely call hospital if you have any doubts that it hasnt fully worked
