How tall is your 12 year old?

Just curious really. Mine's 5.2 which seems about average to tall in her class. There's one girl in her class who is 5.8 already...others seem about 5ft.

My older DD is 16 and the same height as her little sister which annoys her!

My DD is 11 and around 5ft 5. She is still growing. But I think like me she'll be done by year 8 so only one more year of growing. Fingers crossed!

I was 6ft but I only grew another two inches after that. I had terrible joint pain from growing so quickly and had to stand at the back of school photos with the boys. I was the tallest in my year and was really bullied.

My brother was 6ft 2 by then i think and grew another three inches so I think it must be a family thing. If I had managed to have children I expect they would be giants as my husband is over 6ft as well.

DD (12) is 5"1, definitely not one of the tallest at present but I am 5"8, her dad and both teen brothers are over 6" so I imagine she won't be tiny

My DD is just over 5 ft but still having growing pains, I reached my full height at 12 😂

DS was 5’9 at 12. At 15 he is 6’4.

DD is 5’3 at almost 12. I was 5’4 at that age and was my full height of 5’11 by 14, so had a huge growth spurt around 13-14.

My just turned 12 year old son has just hit 6ft but he is also sprouting a moustache and his voice broke last year. He's still got about 6in to catch up with his dad and my family are tall as well, my nan is 6ft. He loves towering over me, but hates being the biggest in his school year by some considerable margin.

My DD is 5' 7" but has always been one of the taller girls in her class.

Weirdly when I had my BCG the nurse told me I wouldn’t grow any more and I didn’t, maybe she cursed me.

I don't have a any daughters but I reached my adult height (5'3) at 12 and my little sister was 5'7ish at the same age and grew to be 5'10.

My 12 year old (13 in December) is 5ft 2. She started her periods age 11 - on Christmas day, poor girl.

She was noticeably taller than her friends about 6 months ago, but she seems to have stopped growing now and they're all catching up/taking over. My husband and I are not very tall so I suspect she's stopped growing now.

DD was 5 ft 5 at 12. She's 14 now and 5ft 7.

My DS is 12 and has just finished year 7. He is just over 5' 10" and has size 10 feet. Broad shoulders and well into puberty incl voice breaking. Im tall as is his dad and my dad is 6' 6" so I guess it's in his genes.

Dd is currently 5 foot 4. She was always very small until she grew about 6 inches in a few months and hasn’t stopped since. She towers over her best friend. Some days she gets up and looks like she’s grown !

She is also a few inches taller than her big sister who hasn’t grown for 4 years since she was 12, (so probably won’t get any taller) much to her disgust.

When he turned 12 he was 5ft 4in. He's now 12 and a half and he's 5ft 7in.

I also reached my adult height in year 7.

13 in October and 4ft 9. Size 1.5 feet.

My 12yo DD is 5'7" and still growing (hasn't started her periods yet).

My oldest was almost 6ft aged 12, his brother 5ft7. Oldest is now 22 and 6ft and the 18yr old is now 6ft3.

When DS2 was in the 6th form he was 6ft1 and in a class of 10 for one subject and he was the shortest! Quite a shock after always being the tallest previously.

When DH was 12 he was 6ft1 and eventually stopped growing at 6ft6. It was really unusual back then and he always towered over his peers. In contrast these days my boys aren't really that unusual.

Wow-my 11 yo is only 4ft 5 (she is one of the smallest)-hopefully she’ll do some growing in the next year!

Ds is 12 and about 5'3

4'5 DS. Very short. He had an un-diagnosed under-active thyroid for a bit so is playing catch up from 9yo-11yo of not growing a millimetre..... He has grown 7cm in the last year.

Don't worry. A lot of these are very tall for their age.
My ds is 13yo and just hit 5'. He's always been smaller (and younger) end of his year, but not stuck out sizewise. I think he's about to do a growth spurt by the way he's eating though.

At 11yo dsis was 152cm. At full height she's 153 cm.
At 11yo I was around 140cm, and am 163cm tall now. People grow at different rates.

My DS who is 12 is 4ft10.
My DD who is 13 is 5ft6 🤔

My 12 year old is under 5ft, some of very his friends are similar, some are massive already. My ds keeps asking when he will grow, I think it will be soon as his feet have gone up 2 sizes in 2 months although his height hasn’t.
