I am using a free trial of Kindle Unlimited but I can't really find much I fancy reading. Does anyone have any recommendations for books to read on there?

Thank you

I love the Posey Parker mystery series. Emily Windsor for Regency Romance. There's a few good crime writers also. Just filter by Kindle Unlimited and you'll find something.

Edit: it's Posie!

I must admit I let my trial lapse after the free period as I didn’t find loads but DID binge through quite a lot of Sweet Valley High and Point Horror books over a couple of weeks. This recommendation is probably only any good if you are of a certain age and had TERRIBLE taste in fiction when you were a pre-teen.

Mark Lawrence Impossible Times is fun
RR Haywood Extracted Series

Both time travel based stories

What kind of books do you like?

I looked at doing a trial once and remember there were 1000s and 1000s of books included, I didn't do it in the end not because there weren't enough books but because I didn't think I'd have enough spare time get my money's worth of reading per month. I do remember there were a good number of recent best seller types

I really enjoyed the Good Samaritan by John Marrs. Didn’t realise I point horror was on unlimited so off to add to the list now.

Holothane · 21/07/2020 20:00

I didn’t like unlimited kindle, you have to give the book back and only allowed 10 at a time I’d rather buy my own books.

I read fantasy and sci fi mostly and at least a book a week. Kindle Unlimited is a godsend financially. Also have tiny tiny flat with bookshelves already overloaded so kindle is a necessity given how many books I go through.

I'm working my way through John Marrs' books, can't put them down! All except the last two on unlimited.

Amanda Prowse is good!

Ritasueandbobtoo · 22/07/2020 06:31

Patrick Logan. Especially the chase Adam's series if you are into thrillers. Ooh and if you like sbit of dark romance the twist me series.

Gillian Godden’s Tony Lambrianu series. 4 books, in order, Dangerous Games, Nasty Business, Francesca and Dirty Dealings.

Kind of Martina Cole-ish about gangsters in London, but with a romantic twist. Very fast and to the point, we get through about 60 years of Tony’s life over the 4 books. I couldn’t stop reading them and only finished yesterday, cried through the full last book I think!

Join your local library and download the BorrowBox app. You can then read free ebooks and listen to audiobooks. It's a brilliant service and doesn't cost a penny. You can use it on your phone or a kindle fire.

There's a series called cockleberry bay that I quite enjoyed but I have stopped my subscription now because I couldn't find many good books.
