Travelling to other counties during covid

Travelling to a different county for a 2 week break. County of holiday has extremely low levels of covid. County travelling from has pretty high covid cases relative to most of the UK. Trip includes visiting a few attractions that are child centred.

Is it unreasonable to do this? Are people worried that people are flocking to safer cities from higher risk ones?

If you want advice I'd refer to the Foreign Office rather than asking AIBU....

Apologies, just realised you've said county not country. In which case refer to the government advice.

@Lockheart I actually trust mn opinion more than government advice atm Grin

Is the area where you live currently subject to any additional infection control measures?

If not, then it is not wrong of you to go in the sense that you are nit btrealing any rules.

But think back a few weeks, and how irresponsible it seemed to travel from a high-case area to a low-case one (even if you then planned to isolate or go in for extreme distancing). The overall case numbers are well down, but it's the same principle.

People want tourists, but only safely. Have you pre-booked your attraction tickets? What will you be doing if the places you want to visit have no tickets left? How will you keep an adequate distance?
