To ask where is the best place to buy a cheap rural house?

Looking for somewhere within 3-4 hours of London, 3+ bedrooms, character house, ideally with a decent size garden, under £200k. Is this doable?

Sorry, I didn't think my lack of replies would have upset anyone. I've been working today..

I'm thinking within 4 hours drive.

Cockermouth in cumbria...... Edge of the lake district and around 4 hours into London.

This is quaint. Listed, needs work. Seems to be over-priced since it's been for sale for nearly a year. And there's a nearby Waitrose and train station, but lots of countryside too.
