Just that really. Bedroom, bathroom, dressing room?

I was moving stuff around today and remembered someone from school calling me/my family odd for keeping makeup in the bathroom (at the time it was the room with the best light I think).

I have a tall set of drawers from John Lewis www.johnlewis.com/house-by-john-lewis-mix-it-narrow-6-drawer-chest-house-smoke-natural-oak/p233410307 in the spare bedroom where I keep all my hair and make up stuff in the top 3 drawers, sports gear and underwear in the others.
I then have some narrow Ikea shelves on the wall above them with perfume, bottles and jars on, plus a couple of MUJI boxes on top with jewellery and hair clips. The light is good in the room so it's where I do my make up.

In my bedroom in a Malm drawer unit from IKEA. (The tall thin one with a mirror in the top). Its separated into eyeshadow, nail varnish, blusher, etc in the little storage things from ikea. I hardly ever wear it though Grin

I have a dressing room where I keep my clothes and do my hair but actually keep and do my makeup in the bathroom as I prefer to do it standing up.

On a shelf by the front door. Takes me about 1 minute to apply, under eye concealer, mascara and a light blush, then I’m on my way.

IwishIhadaMargarita · 18/07/2020 14:47

On the corner of the massive desk in the study/home office. Dh Hayes it there so ge needs to buy me a dressing table. I have a adjustable light up mirror with a magnified (terrifying side)

bwfcchick88 · 18/07/2020 15:38

Brushes, foundation/primers/mascara in my bathroom cabinet, face powder/some lipsticks in my handbag and the rest in a drawer in the study.

Dressing table in the bedroom

hypernova · 18/07/2020 15:43

I keep it in a makeup bag in my bedroom but I do my makeup in the living room while the DC are having breakfast. The living room gets the best lighting.

Bluntness100 · 18/07/2020 15:43

Bathroom cabinet, it lights up. It is the best light in there, easy to wash my hands after applying foundation concealer etc and if I spill any it goes in the sink.

TWAMSWIAO · 18/07/2020 15:43

I keep my make up in a plastic storage box and still to this day do my makeup sitting on my bed with a light up mirror and my hair sat on the floor in front of a full length mirror.

I think even if I had a dressing room with dressing table I’d still do it on my bed, maybe just store it in there.

LtJudyHopps · 18/07/2020 15:47

I have a makeup bag, which comes with me wherever I do my makeup. Usually in my car! If not and I’m actually spending more than 2 minutes on it, it’s in the dining room as it has the best light and mirror.

Undercovermuvver · 18/07/2020 15:51

In handbag and do it on commute

SquirrelFan · 18/07/2020 16:11

Foundation in bathroom, goes on after shower; mascara, eyeliner, lipstick, etc. in a bag in my handbag-put it on in front of the mirror in the hall on my way out the door.

Nyclair · 18/07/2020 22:31

Ensuite bathroom cupboard

delilahbucket · 18/07/2020 22:35

I have a dressing room so it's in there. I have two bags, one for everyday stuff and one for all the other stuff.

sbhydrogen · 18/07/2020 22:38

On a shelf in my dressing room (that also functions as DH's office).

Fatted · 18/07/2020 22:39

I keep my make up in my bedroom drawer.

I put my make up on in which ever room of the house DH isn't asleep in/has the best light/I have the most chance of getting peace and quiet from the kids in

violetbunny · 18/07/2020 22:54

I collect makeup so it has its own storage space in my dressing room.... no way it would fit in the bathroom!
