so if after having a bloody awful week, you called a sibling up to chat about it. Would you expect to take precedence over

Cappuccino · 29/09/2007 10:35

is this your sister that you weren't talking to

well she may be in a huff

you can't just turn it on and off when you want to you know

Twiglett · 29/09/2007 10:36

nope .. it is not huffy sister (spoke to her last week h'actually) ..

OP posts:
Cappuccino · 29/09/2007 10:37

What is this? Little Women?

Twiglett · 29/09/2007 10:39

same number of sisters

OP posts:
peanutbear · 29/09/2007 10:39

well in my case no my sister who I adore constantly compares having a daft retriever to looking after three kids whilst DH is away

The dog comes first every time

Cappuccino · 29/09/2007 10:40

is there a brother?

who sold their hair?

Are you the one who gets to marry Gabriel Byrne?

Boco · 29/09/2007 10:41

Aww, a kind of huffier grumpier version of little women. With more marmitey snacks.

heifer · 29/09/2007 10:41

call her on her mobile whilst she is walking the dog....

or just face it - she loves the dog more than you...

Cappuccino · 29/09/2007 10:41

here's where they all hang out

Chirpygirl · 29/09/2007 10:41

Depends on the sibling. One of mine can happily go on for hours about her boyfriend and their cuddly toy thing and my bro will tell me all about his latest ebay purchases of bike parts, irrelevant of why I called.

So I would say, no, I wouldn't expect to be more important than whatever thing she has on her brain, but I wouldn't blame you for getting pissed off about it, I know I do!

hoxtonchick · 29/09/2007 10:42

is this the sister you're not talking to?

Cappuccino · 29/09/2007 10:42

it's like a scene from Sex in the City in there

with dogs

BandofMothers · 29/09/2007 10:42

Twiggy, what's up. We'll talk to you

Cappuccino · 29/09/2007 10:43

are you better anyway twiglett?

I was thinking of you the other day as I have some kind of lurgy which is hanging on for months

and you were quite miserable for a while

so your continued chirpy existence gave me hope for the future

Twiglett · 29/09/2007 10:43

oh oh oh ROFL at chez marmite

that's the first chuckle all week (and I normally chuckle rather a lot in a sort of mad old crone way you understand)

OP posts:
Twiglett · 29/09/2007 10:47

But it IS unreasonable isn't it?

Its not like I'm constantly on the phone to this sister to be honest

and its not been a mild niggling week .. its been fairly horrendous fgs

OP posts:
BandofMothers · 29/09/2007 10:49

Maybe her doggy was crossing it's legs and jiggling???
But true she could have chucked him in the garden therefore YANBU

Twiglett · 29/09/2007 10:53

"oh I've just put the lead on the dog can I call you back in 40 minutes"

OP posts:
BandofMothers · 29/09/2007 10:55

Maybe she needed to get out?? How many dc does she have?? Was she escaping at a certain time so her DH would have to feed/bath/play with the dc's while she had a nice quiet stroll with the dog??

Twiglett · 29/09/2007 10:57

2 teens

OP posts:
mylastrolo · 29/09/2007 11:40

BandofMothers · 29/09/2007 12:45
