I hope the owners aren’t on MN GrinShock

Hepzibar · 18/07/2020 09:28

Nice house, will also look twice as big when all the fake plants, cushions, ornaments and oversize furniture is removed.

DibDibDibduh · 18/07/2020 09:29

Rattan furniture inside the house ? I have never seen a dining table for two people in a dining room before
Strip everything back and it's a nice house

Livebythecoast · 18/07/2020 09:31

How very dare you! I love my house and no, we don't sit on the sofa - we levitate Grin

My sheep will be going with me too 🐏🐑Wink

Griselda1 · 18/07/2020 09:37

It looks like they just put furniture plants and bizarre curtains into an empty house to make it look lived in.Pretty house under all that but I hate textured ceilings

Kinkybutkind · 18/07/2020 09:38

The hall... the hall!!! There’s what looks like a lamp stand with three shades, two top hats and a stairlift! Every time I look at these photos I see something else, some of which looks like photoshop! How curious

userxx · 18/07/2020 09:43

I love it but I'm partial to a topiary ball or 30 😏

Those chairs were very fashionable in the late 80s, I had six of them from Habitat and they cost a small fortune. Fortunately they fell apart fairly quickly as they ruined the clothes of everyone who sat on them.
StillCoughingandLaughing · 18/07/2020 09:46

It’s nice, but a bit bare. If you buy it, be sure to avoid the rather sparse, minimalist effect the current owners have opted for.

caringcarer · 18/07/2020 09:49

Just look past their furniture, clutter and fake plants. Put in offer on understanding all fake plants must be taken with them. Underneath it looks like a typical 4 bed detached. Neutral rooms mean you can put your own stamp on it.

Milsplus3 · 18/07/2020 09:54

Leaf it alone it looks great Grin

TimeWastingButFun · 18/07/2020 09:55

Blimey! This is a classic example of what not to do when your faux-plant shop goes bust.

TimeWastingButFun · 18/07/2020 09:56

It's probably a divorce sale. Can't think why.

sotiredofthislonelylife · 18/07/2020 09:58

I love that in the description, the agents have emphasised the ‘tasteful scheme’

Clearly the owners run a topiary/random fake greenery and rattan business from home.

Lovely views from the garden though! I’d say buy it, and hope the plants won’t self-seed!

Procrastination4 · 18/07/2020 10:00

Only if you can afford it, and it is in the right location for you. I’m assuming that you’re actually in the market for buying a house, rather than that you are someone whose hobby is trawling through property websites for fun.

Honeyroar · 18/07/2020 10:03

You can’t see the wood for the trees there. It’s probably quite a nice house, but I literally couldn’t concentrate for the shwubbery!

knittingaddict · 18/07/2020 10:06

My husband also said that some of it looked photo shopped and it does look that way. Some of those pots look like they are hovering above the surfaces. Weird either way.

Procrastination4 · 18/07/2020 10:06

And go what it’s worth, the garden, which is beautiful, will be left when the furnishings etc are gone. So if you’re not a keen gardener or someone who appreciates a nice garden, do the garden a service and look elsewhere!

Did you go on a viewing in there OP? Also, where is Frodsham?

CottonSock · 18/07/2020 10:09

They have unique taste, but it looks well kept and good condition

betteliefsen · 18/07/2020 10:14

Yes, it'll be huge when it's empty.
Their marketing technique is good.

ind1go · 18/07/2020 10:15

How weird that all the furniture is pulled away from the walls and at a slight angle. And those things on the top of the windows... it looks like fabric pieces just wrapped round a pole. It looks like the house of Mr Edward Scissorhands and Mrs Christmas. I wonder what’s been going on?

cheesesconesaremyfavourite · 18/07/2020 10:17

My mother in law's house is similar in that it's immaculate but with too much stuff crammed in. Her garden is the same - it makes you feel claustrophobic as she has squeezed in too many arches, benches, pots, ornaments, pond, summer house, lights etc in to too small a space.

Iwantacookie · 18/07/2020 10:18

Could you imagine having to dust all those plants? Some people are bat shit.

GreekOddess · 18/07/2020 10:20

I love it Grin
