What else is family friendly but also interesting for adults?
Can be action or comedy.

How old are the kids?

DD is almost 9

Frasier? The subtext might be a touch adult but not inappropriate and it’s very funny.

I really enjoyed the Malory Towers adaption on iPlayer.

Some of the Jane Austen film adaptations are essentially romantic comedies/dramas - Emma and Sense and Sensibility are the ones I’m thinking off (Gwynneth Paltrow and Emma Thompson ones but are films rather than series).
