I had a hair apt yesterday for 4pm,the salon closes at 7pm.
It normally takes 3 hours for my hair.
I have naturally dark hair.
I normally get half head backcombed highlights,a toner ,greys covered and a trim.
Yesterday the girl was running late and didn't start my hair till 4.50 pm.
She said straight away "instead of doing foils,I'm gonna do a free hand balayage(no foils ) as I think it will cover your hair more.
Anyway it only took her 25 mins instead of the normal 1 hr 10 to apply foils.
End result a more ginger blonde instead of the blonde I get from foils (I'm assuming the foils make it develop )
Also because it was a balayage she Has left a big chunk of dark hair at the top (where I normally get a few foils on top to break it up )
Do you think she chose that instead of foils as she was running late and didn't want to stay later than 7pm ?
I'm annoyed
Then she got a hair wash girl to do my toner (it went the wrong shade )
She then said I chose a different colour today for you.
Anyway after a few washes last night when I got home, the toner has settled down.
I'm just annoyed I paid £130 and I feel she just did a rush job to get home.

I would complain based on the facts. Hair is a different colour, and she stated she chose a different colour. You should decide what colours you want them to use, especially if you usually have the same thing. What if she just decided it should be pink?!

I think because people are having their hair done for the first time in months, it's taking the hair dresser longer to do, I took my two boys yesterday and what normally takes about 30 mins each took around 2 hours for the pair of them.
Did the hairdresser decide what you were having done?, because it sounds like you'd gone for something different but ended up letting them decide what you needed.
Obviously if you're unhappy ring this morning, saying you're unhappy with what was done and you'd like it correcting free of charge and get another appointment.

100% not right I’m a hairdresser, you don’t just choose a different colour for a client! And £130 get yourself back in there and get what you want done! Disgraceful!

The problem is, when she said she was doing balayage you didn't say" no, I want the foils".
She had no right to change the toner though.
I'd call the salon and mention the toner situ but unless she was rude and you felt obligated to have the balayage, you can't really complain about that unfortunately.
