Apparently residents in Kent are up in arms over a large lorry park being built to handle customs checks but Kent was a very heavy leave voting county and I thought the leavers all knew what they were voting for?

Apparently the government are also looking for another 12 sites around the country including Portsmouth also a heavy vote leave area.

These people also knew what they were voting for.

Brexit? Now? Really? 😔😔😔

PotteringAlong · 17/07/2020 07:13

@letmethinkaboutitfornow like it or not, brexit is still going ahead and, in 5 months time the transition period ends and a whole heap of stuff is unleashed on us.

No one is saying “global pandemic? Let’s just forget about everything else”.

Pelleas · 17/07/2020 07:14

Google tells me 59% of voters in Kent voted to leave. So 41% of the population have every right to be pissed off.

letmethinkaboutitfornow · 17/07/2020 07:18

@PotteringAlong - exactly! It IS happening
Why is there a need for trolling about it? 🤔
I have a list of other issues not only global pandemic! 😔

To be fair the Vote Leave campaign promised we would maintain our place in the Single Market.

Remainers thought they were lying and it turned out they were but people didn't actually vote to leave the SM.
