If the government is sure it’s safe to continue to with unlocking society, why are they continuing to plow 3 billion into keeping the nightingale hospitals and beds in private hospitals going until next March.
Is there a lot of information they aren’t sharing.

The cynical part of me wants to say yes, they're expecting an utter shit show come winter once all the lifting of restrictions has fully kicked in, people have moved everything indoors to escape the cold, and people start neglecting self-isolation rules because they're got a cough for the umpteenth time is as many weeks and that's what happens in cold and flu season.

The optimistic part of me wants to say that they're simply doing it as a contingency measure so that if there is a second wave we are more prepared than we were for the first wave.

The reality probably lies somewhere in the middle of those two places.

Probably but we still have an average of 74 people dying a day, we have stopped reporting on the number of cases and we are seeing an increase in areas with increasing number of cases.
