To think the Covid numbers are too high

I live in Northern Ireland and today there were no new Covid deaths in the last 24 hours but there were 16 positive cases, out of 905.

That might seem like a small amount, but we are doing the better than the rest of the U.K. in terms of numbers, we did have one day recently were we had no positive cases and but quite recently we’ve had days were we have only had 2/3/4 positive cases in a 24 hour period.

AIBU to be scared about this sudden jump up to 16?

I'd wait for some further comparables before zeroing in on one days reporting.

The thing is it might not be a spike, just that that was the day us was really order, might be a more level line. You need to look at the data over time.

Best to look at 7 day average to rule out reporting spikes.
